March Madness Elite Eight Recap
What an exciting weekend of sports as the top eight college basketball teams in the country battled it out for a spot in the Final Four.
On Saturday, Gonzaga defeated Xavier 83-59. This big win makes the Bulldogs the first team on the west coast to make the Final Four since 2008.
By the end of the day, another team from the Pacific Time Zone joined Gonzaga for a spot in the Final Four. No. 3 seed Oregon upset No. 1 seed Kansas with a final score of 74-60.
On Sunday, two more teams punched their tickets to the Final Four. In the most thrilling game of the weekend, the North Carolina Tarheels defeated the Kentucky wildcats 75-73.
No. 7 seed South Carolina defeated No. 4 seed Florida 77-70 to earn their spot in the Final Four. The Gamecocks are the lowest seed to make the Final Four this season and are the biggest underdogs of the tournament.
This Saturday, April 1st, South Carolina will face off against Gonzaga and Oregon will face off against North Carolina for a spot in the championship game on April 3rd. These are some great matchups and it sure will be another exciting weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.
