Exit 4: Restaurant Review

Exit 4: Restaurant Review

A first look at exit 4 to any viewer looks warm and inviting. With its extremely rustic furniture and set up, it is hard not to feel calm and relaxed while enjoying your tasty meal. The lighting is dim, and there are always different people coming in and out. What separates Exit 4 from most restaurants around this area is that it is in a food hall serving style. You walk in and are welcomed by so many different stands and choices of food right off the bat. There is a fresh pasta stand with pasta freshly made and ready to put in a boiling hot pot of water at your demand. On the other side of the restaurant is a raw seafood bar with fresh seafood lying on the open ice. There are many options of all different kinds of seafood, such as clams, crab legs, and shrimp. Right next door to the raw seafood bar is a sushi stand where they have multiple types of sushi to offer. Last but certainly not least, in the left hand of the food hall, is a bar tucked away with multiple stools and a television mounted right about for excited sports fans to use while enjoying their meal or just a nice refreshing drink. There is a cluster of worn out wooden tables scattered around the middle of all of these choices. Some people might miss it at first, but there is also a seating area towards the back which is in even dimmer lighting. Overall, the aura of the restaurant is comforting and calm. It is perfect for any age group, even a nice family night out. It is set up to where you can go start a tab at any cash register, and when you are done ordering food you can pay it anywhere. You then receive a number and pick your own available table.

The Meal: Although there are so many options to choose from, one of the most exceptional options off of the menu is the Wood- Fired Mac & Cheese dish. In this dish is a variety of cheeses with fresh rigatoni pasta, lightly sprinkled with breadcrumbs crisped along the top of the pasta. When the plate arrives it arrives in a pan-like dish with a cloth napkin wrapped around the handle that the waiter/ waitress uses to protect themselves from the hot dish. The service is fast and easy. There is no confusion and you are left alone to enjoy the rest of your meal. It does take awhile for the plate to cool off and be cool enough to eat. However, the wait is worth it. The pasta is perfectly cooked and is not too hard or soft. You stick your fork into the plate of cheese and as you bring it out to put the food into your mouth cheese always strings along with it. The taste of cheese is just enough to where it isn’t too overpowering. The bread crumbs on top are crunchy and golden and add an amazing touch. It is hard not to want to clean your plate when you take the very first bite. When you are done with the meal you can just sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere as people come and take your dirty plates wishing you a great night.

Overview: Overall, the experience and atmosphere of the entire experience was extremely enjoyable. It is perfect for all ages and has kind service. The food was delicious and fresh. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, considering there is food for all different tastes.
